Far-Out Farmers

_____ The farm where Oxbrain worked was right next to a highway, and Oxbrain loved to watch the trucks and cars whizz by as he grazed. On one particularly slow, hot day, he stood next to the fence looking out, wondering whether he should jump over the barrier so that he could ride in one of the shiny, pretty trucks.
_____"It's boring here, and I want to jump over to the other side, and maybe tour the world" Oxbrain mused. "Although I'm really scared to go any further than this fence. Besides, who'll baby-sit Farmer Breakneck? I might as well stay here, and be a fence sitter too, while I'm at it."
_____"It's just the farmers that get to go places", Oxbrain went on, talking to the fence this time. "They're everywhere, doing the oddest things. Across the road, Farmer Biddle raises ostriches. The're such useless animals. Why, they can't even pull a plow."
_____"I do want to see the city, though. I'll bet there are farmers in the city too. I don't think there's much they could do there, though. Except maybe putter about an office, or dance on stage in front of people, or float in the sky" (and here Oxbrain cast a baleful eye upwards, just in case). "I think they're all as silly as my owner!"
_____And in this puzzle, it gets even sillier!
